I've been looking into the same thing down here. There is a guy that sells grass-fed free range all natural beef at the farmer's market here and I was going to go buy a sample and if I liked the product, but a side of beef.

There are some free range Beefalo ready for slaughter in January that we will also be interested in. I have been buying free range chickens and eggs for a few years now, they taste so much better ...the yolks are so much more rich tasting and the chicken meat again so much more flavorful and without the injected chemicals and water and antibiotics that store bought chickens and eggs have. It is a growing industry here and I suspect demand will out pace supply before long.

Anyone knowing someone selling cheese direct in my neck of the woods let me know.

There is a supplier of free-range chickens down here. They're pretty pricey at $4 per pound. I think the eggs are $4 per dozen. I had plans to go that route, but I need to buy a freezer first.

I was buying extra large chickens for $8 or $9, eggs around $4 a doz (free range)

The ony way to fight the kgb enforcement stooges is to DENY them access to your property...IT IS YOUR RIGHT THAT MANY DO NOT ENFORCE.

Open rebellion against the system is necessary...why do the people allow aholes in the damned system to make tyrannical anti freedom laws? Why do people obey them?

They are insecure and intimidated by aholes in uniforms. There are many fights people refuse to fight that would see them win.

Do NOT allow the stooges of the system to bully you.

I had plans to go that route, but I need to buy a freezer first.

We had two when I was married and now I have none. How did that happen? If I had a smaller one I'd go the route of splitting a side of beef with someone. I know my sister hasn't bought federally inspected meat from a market in a decade. They have 2 or 3 people who buy a couple whole cows and then transport the cut and wrapped meat across state lines. Don't ask. Don't tell. No paperwork. This is what government regulations and marketing boards have created in otherwise honest, taxpaying citizens.

I find retail beef in markets outrageously priced, all the more so when I highly suspect the bulk of the money is not going to the producer. I find the dairy industry an even more obscene cartel racket. I paid what amounted to a dollar a slice for provolone cheese the other day. I felt like a big shot on a spending spree and might do it again in six months. I'm surrounded by more cows than people and I can't afford the products.

If someone wants to drink raw milk, as disgusting as that sounds and is, who is the government to prevent them from doing so?

Anyone who eats raw milk is an idiot. If they serve their child raw milk the government should step in and they should be held legally responsible for giving it to any person without informed consent. Other than that - have at her, have another glass.

I generally agree with that, I don't support child abuse - cue the 'I drank raw milk as a kid, and let me tell you who the child abuse crowd is' one, two, three...

Since I own one of the two milk cows and the brother-in-law is kind enough to milk for me, I and my family members who wish to will continue to drink raw milk as often as we want. After getting himself a glass of raw milk and drinking three glasses in a row, the six year old grandson won't drink store bought milk.

I drank raw milk for decades and the system can go to bloody hell. When they start outlawing alcohol which causes more harm than raw milk ever could, I MIGHT listen to them.

Almost all dairy farm families drink their own product. It is less than 2 days old.The stuff bought in a store might be weeks old.

Raw milk crusader gets another day in court

9:19 pm, July 26th, 2012
TORONTO -- These hallowed walls of Ontario's highest court have heard arguments about murders and embezzlements, bitter divorces and ugly assaults.

But the Court of Appeal has never before been asked to rule on the legality of distributing unpasteurized milk. That's about to change.

It didn't take long for Justice Eileen Gillese to decide that raw milk crusader Michael Schmidt deserves yet another day in court. After listening to morning arguments, she ruled the dairy farmer, originally acquitted in 2010, should be allowed to appeal his 2011 conviction for selling his controversial product.

"You've got two decisions standing and they conflict," the judge noted. "That's what the leave to appeal would resolve."..................http://www.sunnewsnetwork.ca/sunnews/ca ... 11904.html
