What exactly is Harper and Kenney up to that they need to further empower the Competition Bureau? With Harper you have a modern day Leninist and with Kenney a modern day Marxist. What happened to the conservative movement in Canada? We need a movement in place to act as a counter-balance.

Yeah, Harper is a modern day Lenin and Kennedy is a Marxist.

C-30 was a disaster when it was tabled. C-30 is stalled at first reading stage and is a huge embarrassment to Public Safety Minister Vic Toews. Despite rumours that Bill C-30 would be referred directly to a standing committee for review (and salvage) prior to second reading, that has not happened. Perhaps justice officials have correctly concluded that C-30 is not salvageable. There was a storm of protest when C-30 was introduced - a storm strong enough to stall the Bill. I do not trust Toews not to try again by moving C-30 forward or trying a replacement effort. We remain 'on watch' for developments on the warrantless snooping bill.MikeNB wrote:This Bill is looking worse and worse!
