\:D/ $600 to go

styky wrote:$3,000 YEAR END FUNDRAISER

Connie and Mark have worked hard to keep FD legal expenses reasonable. Connie is acting as FD representative in the Warman copywrite action - however, even acting for yourself in court is expensive. There are printing and transcription fees as well as travel and other out of pocket expenses to cover. There are more hearings and motions to deal with on other actions not yet resolved. Efforts to keep Free Dominion solvent and operating in spite of the efforts of a leftist gang to shut us down are not over.

None of us have a lot of cash to spare at Christmas, but none of us will leave our friends in the lurch, so we propose that we share the burden to the extent that we can. This is the time to roll the change in the jar on the dresser, check the sofa for change lost during the Grey Cup game and share a bit of what we have with our hosts.

Every donation helps to ease the strain and helps us to feel good, which is right and proper at this time of year. Pledges for month end are gratefully accepted; we do not want anyone to go short helping us out.

Your support is what has kept FD alive and we need to call on you once more.

Our fundraising target is $3,000.

In the spirit of sharing the all members who donate $50 or more will receive a Free Dominion lapel pin and the first ten (10) people to donate $150 or more will receive an autographed copy of our Free Dominion cook book.

The mailing address for donations is:

Or, even easier, you can send an email money transfer to connie@freedominion.ca directly through your online banking using Interac:

Thank you all for your generosity and support.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone.

Who knew? styky a Red Sox fan. Jonathan Papelbon said he'd do the Riverdance on the front steps of city hall if they won the world series... and he delivered. Here is he is in a kilt on a flatbed on Boylston street with Hideki Okajima.

Papelbon is now a member of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

OK gang - we have $600 left to hit our $3,000 target, and it would be nice to finish the drive this week.

Apparently the Lemire hearing went well; wrapped up in one day. The results will have a major bearing on outstanding actions the Fourniers are facing.

Every little bit counts. We have kept Free Dominion alfoat with many $10 and $20 donations. Most of us are not rich or this would have been over long ago. We have to work with the limited resources we have, so this drags out as a result. Unless we hit a lottery (and our chances are still 1 in 14,000,000 or higher) we will have to do this the hard way.

Thank you all for your support - monitary, prayers and words of wisdom and encouragement.

That is what keeps Connie and Mark going.

I am not a gambler except in my profession we take calculated risks in our work and admittedly, with our safety..we depend on the durability of climbing equipment to keep from tumbling to the ground and dying on the way down hitting branches, or from the impact when the final bounce occurs. Falls are the greatest killers of tree workers and electrocution is an ever present danger around wires.

Having said that, I am forced to take calculated risks. I do not gamble playing bingo, buying lottery tickets, or any such thing. However WV, I am openly admitting to FD that you have hit on a great idea.

I am going to start buying lottery tckets with the intent if winning happens, it will result in the creation of a huge and never ending freedom fund. It is a longshot but one cannot win if one does not have a ticket.

Another great idea from WV, and I will see if I can SUGGEST to a few people, INCLUDING THE STINGY RESIDENT LIEBERAL, that a donation on behalf of freedom would be a great way to demonstrate hatred of tyranny and tyrants.

Roughly 8 days and 12 hours to raise $2,825 so far.
I am sure more contributions are en rout to you so we will exceed the target before Christmas.
My hat is off to those who have dug deep to help out a worthy cause.
Thank you.
