So what is it that the Liberals are saying then......that unelected officials should be making ALL the decisions for Canada. And they wonder why they are the third party. #-o

Lord help us, the Liberals have no idea of how our constitution is framed. They ignored the constitution when they were in power and now show their contempt for the highest law in the land. Their appointed judges can't bail them out this time.
The most effective way to stifle democracy is to transfer decision-making from the public arena to unaccountable institutions: activist judges, human rights tribunals, parliamentary committees, civil service bureaucrats and political party hacks.

Rae’s appeal to Rideau Hall dials Canada back to colonial times

Bob Rae would reverse 162 years of constitutional precedent by having the Governor-General refuse royal assent to a bill. He should be careful. An opposition leader proposed this sort of thing once before – and it ended with a mob burning Parliament to the ground.

The Liberals vehemently oppose the Harper government’s plan to dismantle the Canadian Wheat Board’s monopoly on marketing grain. They are particularly incensed that the Tories are pushing the legislation through the Senate, even though a Federal Court judge has ruled that the bill is outside the law, because the government didn’t first seek the approval of farmers through a plebiscite as previous legislation requires.

The Tories are appealing the ruling, arguing that no law can bind Parliament from passing a new law. But until the appellate courts have the final say, the Interim Liberal Leader wants David Johnson to stay the government’s hand by refusing to give royal assent to the legislation...........................http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/pol ... nt=2268112

Let's see how this works.

Liberals lose the house, they stand tall in the senate

Liberals lose the senate, they stand tall in the courts.

Liberals lose in the courts, they plead to the governor general.

Liberals never give up, on anything. This is the standard liberal playbook. They don't care about what the people want, they care about their agenda, and will fight tooth and nail to get rid any and all challenges to it, by hook and by crook.
Your overall argument is:
"The US states do not fund abortions. Canada's provinces do fund abortions; therefore Canada is bad and, gosh, I can use the term "abortuaries" with a sneer."

How many liberals are elected to federal office in the provinces affected by the wheat board monopoly anyway? How do they see this as any of their business? As always they're manipulating, greedy eastern control freaks losing their grip on the colonies.

Wasn't it Lougheed who said, "Let the Eastern Bastards freeze in the dark?"
