TORONTO — A Toronto city councillor thinks it's time to revisit the idea of making the city a province.

Giorgio Mammoliti feels the city is getting shafted by the federal and provincial governments.

I've said many times Ontario should be four or five provinces. It should be broken up. Paybec should not be in Canada at all after they pay out.

I also believe Ottawa should be removed. It should be a federal territory like Washington DC and have no connection to Ontario whatsoever.

Thanks but no thanks to that idea, what could Toronto as a province offer the rest of Canada that would be a beneficially export that would make it viable to confederation.
