American President

Show them the door by 2004!

<b>"Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the president or any public official, save exactly to the degree he himself stands by the country." – Theodore Roosevelt </b>

That's a great quote.

I find that the more I learn about T.R., the more I admire him. This is a very unusual phenomenon for me when I study politicians.
Alberta is prosperous, the population is growing and the government is debt-free. I have no doubt that Liberals, NDPers, Red Tories, Kyoto Treaty bureaucrats, and other provinces will try to make Alberta into Canada's ATM machine.

Here is a thought JB - Lease the Queen Mary - largest passenger liner still afloat - load up the UN and push the whole shebang into international waters. Let the UN find itself a home or haven whereverit can - it should be very interesting. I'm sure the QM could be fitted with helo pads to allow diplomats to shuttle back and forth.
The most effective way to stifle democracy is to transfer decision-making from the public arena to unaccountable institutions: activist judges, human rights tribunals, parliamentary committees, civil service bureaucrats and political party hacks.

I'd be thinking more of TORPEDOES than helo decks.

Pat Buchanan will not make a good president. His mind is too narrow to understand anybody.

He ran for the 2000 elections and Americans made a right choice not to vote for him.
"The tired, old, corrupt Liberal party is cornered like an angry rat, they are going to attack us like never before." -Stephen Harper, Canada's prime minister in waiting.

My pick: J.B. Stone.

It would be a small transition from Bush.

He sought the GOP nomination in 1992 and 1996, quit the GOP, and sought the Reform Party of the USA nomination in 2000.
