Wonderful news and I hope Canada appreciates what you have done to save their sorry backsides. Whether they do or not, history will show you did.

Good work one and all andI will look for you in the papers.

Excellent news! Congrats Connie and Mark! This should be celebrated by all people of all parties. It will now be used for other cases and is a huge step towards freedom of speech on the internet.

Congratulations!

From the Unholy Trinity currently only BCL has a posting about the ruling, nothing yet from the other 2.

They probably haven't been told what to say yet.

What is remarkable is that you have exposed Warman's feet of clay. Up to now, Warman has engaged you in an escalating series of legal actions intended to intimidate. One would think that his education as a lawyer would ensure that actions are solidly founded and thus worrisome. I believe he is banking on his proven ability to coerce CHRT chairs into doing his bidding to work in the civil courts.

You have won a huge victory which I expect is the first of many. Congratulations to you and to your legal council.
The most effective way to stifle democracy is to transfer decision-making from the public arena to unaccountable institutions: activist judges, human rights tribunals, parliamentary committees, civil service bureaucrats and political party hacks.

Which makes me curious.

What is his record charging people, in Real court vs Kangaroo court?

Excepting cases where he has an underlying decision from a CHRT, not much. Try a CanlawII search. It appears he is a only legal legend in his fevered mind. Reality bites.

From the comments area of BCL's posting:

A good and well argued decision which creates a reasonable bar for a plaintiff to clear.

Regardless of what you may think of Connie and Mark, they have made important and good law here.
