Home schoolers are definitely hated in Europe. Sweden is as bad as Germany. Who knows about the rest of the nations? We only find out about this as each new instance of state oppression makes it to the media.
Home schoolers aren't exactly held in high esteem in North America either, despite the fact that home schooled children are better educated as a group compared to their public school peers.

I wouldn't advise them to come here. They'd have better luck in Panama.
