JB, I'm glad you are keeping your sense of humour and will start a Novena for you to St. Raphael, the Archangel in charge of healing. Meanwhile have pity on your guardian angel and get well soon!

JB - I worked later as they were short people and it was swamped. I had intended to call 3 hours ago. If you see this let me know if it's too late to call or if there are rules on calls to rooms or nursing stations there concerning hours. Thanks.

JB I know you and I don't have any kind words for each other, but as one human to another I hope they find everything is OK and that you'll be on the road to recovery soon. Were I a praying man, I would offer up a prayer for you.
"The only freedom which deserves the name is that of pursuing our own good in our own way, so long as we do not attempt to deprive others of theirs, or impede their efforts to obtain it. Each is the proper guardian of his own health, whether bodily, or mental or spiritual. Mankind are greater gainers by suffering each other to live as seems good to themselves, than by compelling each to live as seems good to the rest." ~ John Stuart Mill

Will do sir. Done at 1 pm Mountain. Home, change, switch to lounge lizard mode, call JB before 2.

Funny thing. New X-Box MLB game out with "Doc" Roy Halladay from the Phillies on the sleeve. I thought of your mom, the Philadelphia fan and our baseball chatter in the parking lot of the VA clinic in Kalispell while we waited for you. As I've said before, I thought I was a ball fan but she could put me on the trailer with her knowledge. Sleep well.

Things are up and down. I''m sloooowly getting better.....low oxygen saturation stats right now, but they allowed me to go down to the lobby to play on this computer for a bit by myself......what can go wrong......???......I'm in a hospital.

Mr. Mellow is being fed, etc. by the twin 16-year old girls next door and Kenny comes by to give him som company. They let me pet him in the lobby of KRMC before they transferred me and that was VERY nice. Anotgher friend named Cathy has offered to take him over to her place which has fenced yard, two dogs, and 3 little boys to play with......might just take her up on it.

New news of a sort: They've also found a "mesenteric mass" aside from the bleeding which they intend to biopsy/exise. Keep your fingers crossed on THAT one........ [-o<

Mesentery

Horizontal disposition of the peritoneum in the lower part of the abdomen. The mesentery is marked with red.

Vertical disposition of the peritoneum. Main cavity, red; omental bursa, blue.
Gray's subject #246 1157
MeSH Mesentery

MesenteryIn anatomy, the mesentery is the double layer of peritoneum that suspends the jejunum and ileum from the posterior wall of the abdomen. Its meaning, however, is frequently extended to include double layers of peritoneum connecting various components of the abdominal cavity.

[edit] Mesentery (proper)
The mesentery proper (i.e. the original definition) refers to the peritoneum responsible for connecting the jejunum and ileum (parts of the small intestine) to the back wall of the abdomen. Between the two sheets of peritoneum are blood vessels, lymph vessels, and nerves. This allows these parts of the small intestine to move relatively freely within the abdominopelvic cavity. The brain, however, cannot map sensation accurately, so sensation is usually referred to the midline, an example of referred pain.

The root of proper mesentery extends 15 cm from duodenojejunal flexure at the level of left side of L2 obliquely (toward inferior right) to the ileocecal junction in the right iliac fossa at the level of right sacroiliac joint. The root of mesentery crosses the second and third parts of duodenum, abdominal aorta, Inferior vena cava, right ureter, right psoas major muscle, and right gonadal artery.

[edit] Development
The mesentery is derived from what is known in the embryo as the dorsal mesentery. The dorsal mesentery is larger than the ventral mesentery, which gradually becomes other parts of the peritoneum. Most parts of the ventral mesentery are associated with the liver.

[edit] Mesentery (general)
Mesenteries are composed of two layers of peritoneum. The peritoneum that lies on the walls of the abdominopelvic cavity (parietal peritoneum) invaginates at certain parts, with an organ inside this invagination. This invaginated peritoneum (visceral peritoneum) will often surround all but a part of the organ ("bare area"), through which the organ transmits blood vessels and nerves. If this organ is invaginated far enough into the peritoneum, the visceral peritoneum will come in contact with itself, forming the organ's mesentery.

Mesenteries in the body:

Mesentery (proper) - surrounds parts of the small intestine (the jejunum and the ileum)

Keep thinking positive thoughts, only take serious half of what you hear and remember to much information on the net is not always a good thing. Some times recovery is more rapid when you're clueless. ;)

It's called "libel chill". If the censors have their way, it will be the internet new world order.

I've found that myself posting to the sheep at the CBC news comments sites. I find I'm posting what is likely to be "approved" and appear rather than what I'd like to say which I know won't be posted. I'm now typing to the lowest common denominator - requiring approval by the state of course.
