The Straight Dope hada question about whether Blue states are smarter than Red states. Cecil's conclusion was that they were virtually identical but swing states had something like a one point IQ advantage.

Then I waded into the blog debate and it's slowly degrading as the liberal ninnies seem to think that anyone who doesn't believe in all their policies - AGW, SSM, abortion, yadda yadda - is obviously less intelligent because they can convince the liberals.
